I don't have Forever

Walter Meego: Voyager

Sony BMG | May 2008

Sounds like: MGMT, Chromeo, Cut Copy, Daft Punk, Hot Chip, Justice, Midnight Juggernauts, MSTRKRFT, The Black Ghosts, Gorillaz.

I stumbled upon Walter Meego as I was checking some trusted music blogs and was smitten from the first few listens.  I noticed that I had there cd on repeat and was remembering the melodies and words within the second play.  Spawning from Chicago this duet will shake your hips and make you clap your hands as you get lost in the beats created by Justin Sconza and vocal melodies from Colin Yark.  They are a powerful match as you listen to the layers of sounds that emit from there album.  I strongly recommend Walter Meego to anyone who enjoys any of the bands I listed above.

On a side note, I recently had the pleasure of seeing them live at the Casbah.  I was amazed at how well there sound emitted from all the control pads, keyboards, and guitars.  They managed to remix there own songs live, givng their live show that much more of an original and  fresh vibe. (which is a rare sight for the electronic mix genre) They also performed some new up and coming jams that I cant wait to hear recorded.  Go out and pick up there CD or grab it off itunes as you will be completely impressed with there sonic, new, fresh sound.
