On the eve of their CD Release and world wide tour, Cold War Kids played a semi secret show last night at the Casbah.  We ended up waiting about two hours in a line that spanned a couple blocks down Kettner.

10 dollars at the door got you a free copy of their new album, Loyalty to Loyalty.  So basically Cold War Kids played a free show, which they announce the morning of, via myspace... pretty damn cool.  Their rambunctious set mixed new tracks with four favorites off Robbers & Cowards.  Here is my cropped view from the bar, and a clip from their encore performance of "Saint John".

It is a bit dark, but wait for it... it gets good.
